I was trying to make it closer to native Siberian skin color with more reddish tones than in the show. Kinda like this: [link]
It's more of my own headcanon, though. ;7; I like to think that all of the different kingdoms are respective to certain regions of Asia (Chinese earth benders, Thai air benders, Japanese fire benders, Native Siberian water benders)
