dshjakfdsgjlskjlgkjdlkgj
good night
I just met you
and this is crazy
but here's my dA
So tell me about MICA
Maybe?
[Ahh sorry, I've been lurking your page for a long time, and I start applying to schools come this fall. I've been wanting to go look at MICA for a while and am wondering if its worth visiting. Let me know what you think?]
MICA is only like a half an hour away from where I live, so it was easy to visit. :> It's on my top 3 on my list of colleges to apply to in the fall.
Campus-wise:
Even though it's in Baltimore, it's in a really nice and pretty part of Baltimore. You can see the influence of the college around the area since there's murals on the buildings pretty much everywhere. (I think I passed by around 6 just from the small area I drove around in, but there's a lot more.) The entire area is very hipster-esque and quirky, and there's a lot of unique small-business stores near the campus.
On one road there was like 10 variations of antique store, thrift store, random junk store, and vintage clothing store, and we ate at this weird 60's cafe that had a humungous flamingo sculpture out front and elvis presley on the inside. I can probably find it online WAAAIT FOUND IT: [link]
But yeah, the campus is really fun. :>
College-wise:
The guy who reviewed my portfolio was really outgoing and honest, and gave me a lot of good advice. According to my friend who went there for a pre-college program, the professors are cool too.
Apparently when you're a sophomore they give everyone their own personal studio that you can do whatever you want with. You can paint all over the walls, thumbtack it all over, etc. and they'll just paint over it when you leave. I find this to be one of the cooler aspects of going there. ;a;
If you want to major in something academic like biology or computer sciences as well, you can apply for their dual major program that partners with Johns Hopkins, and they'll tailor your schedule accordingly.
They have a lot of buildings, so I don't think I can cover them all. @A@
uhdfhadjfh too much stuff to cover
I'll just leave you with their website: [link]
MICA's really cool and I would definitely consider visiting if I were you. :Y
If you go there we might end up being classmates haha (otherwise I'm going to SAIC or cooper if I get in dadkjfddfd most likely not)
